Summer Lovin' at Saltair in Salt Lake City: Kylie & Alex
During our time in Utah, we had the opportunity to do a couple shoots just for fun. This was one of them and I cannot believe we never shared it on the blog. If you’re local to Salt Lake, you might recognize this beautiful couple. It seemed like everyone I ever met in SLC knew Kylie & Alex (not married here, but now married). They are one of the cutest, most positive, and overall joyful couples I’ve ever met. They also do cool shit on Instagram…check them out here.
At the time of this shoot, our AZ friends, Jonnie + Garrett were coming out to UT to pick out their new puppy. When we heard they were coming to town, we connect, and decided to do a last minute shoot. At first, we had hopes of going out to the Bonneville Salt Flats, but that is a couple hours away from the city. We found out that Saltair (which is MUCH closer) had a similar vibe. It’s def not as pure white as the Salt Flats, but it was a close second and still gave us those wide open, mountain in the background type shots we were hoping to get. Also, pampas grass grows like crazy in Utah…so naturally we needed to capitalize on that.
J&G provided the formal attire, I whipped up a colorful bouquet, and we asked Kylie & Alex to just wear an outfit they loved and felt comfortable in. We really did just do this shoot for the heck of it…no intention of getting published or anything, just for fun! Both K & A are such naturals in front of the camera- we all just laughed the entire time. Also, you can tell how much these two love each other. They are the REAL DEAL.
