Burgundy & Emerald Green Phoenix Art Museum Wedding: Nora & Jeff
Nora & Jeff were married last fall at Phoenix Art Museum. We will always have a special place in our hearts for these 2. Our first meeting/consultation with them was 3 days after Christmas, and the day before I went into labor with our first baby boy, Becks. We had to tell them this was a "tentative" meeting...with the hopes of not going into labor. Baby boy stayed put and our first meeting with Nora & Jeff was so fun- it was like we had known them for years! We talked for hours and we couldn't WAIT to start designing & planning with them over the next 10 months or so. We started with a gorgeous color pallet that included shades of burgundy, evergreen, apricot, blush, and ivory. This is such a pretty color combo, but also hard because you don't want the burgundy & evergreen combo to look like Christmas (especially when your bride is Jewish-haha). They wanted a very classic-modern feel for their wedding so we based our design off of different geometric shapes and added in some basic black/white (ivory) combos here and there...all perfect for an art museum. The team of vendors we used for their big day was a stellar team. Each vendor brought their incredible talents and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Check out photo's from Nora & Jeff's wedding day below...taken by the UBER talented Jonnie & Garrett.
How amazing are these invites done by Idieh Design?!? They say your invites should set the tone for your big event. I think Heidi nailed it with this design aesthetic. The shapes. The colors. The gold foil. We LOVE it all. And so did Nora & Jeff!
These guys were SO much fun. They kept the laughs coming and the beers flowin'... Jeff's a lucky guy to have friends like this crew.
OK- first, let's talk about the color of these bridesmaid dresses. SO PERFECT. Now, LET'S TALK ABOUT THESE FLOWERS! Nora actually had Hoot & Holler hired as her wedding florist before she hired us as her wedding designers/planners...and we can't say we were mad about this decision. We've been lucky enough to work with Malori in the past and she is just incredible. And this wedding [we think] was one of her all-time-best! Nora was the bride of every florists' dreams. She really let Malori be creative and do her thang...and man, Malori KILLED IT. If you're looking for one badass florist (who might have a potty mouth like me), she's your girl.
For their reception, we decided to do a mix of rounds and long, family style tables. Since the Great Hall is so large, it was our way of making it feel a little more intimate. Tremaine Ranch helped to make the head table slightly different and unique by using their custom built harvest tables and bistro chairs. We love working with them and can always count on their great style and positive attitudes to help make every wedding we do together a stylish blast! <--- WOW, that sounded SO cheesy... sorry Leah & Matt.
Ruze Cake House did a phenomenal job on Nora & Jeff's cake. I see their cakes all the time and I'm constantly blown away by their talent and creativity. They also taste really good too...so that's a plus. ;)
