Summertime Citrus Wedding at El Chorro: Caroline & JR

Caroline & JR were married last summer on a beautiful, toasty Arizona day in Paradise Valley at El Chorro. The day was filled with so much joy and laughter that you’d never have known it was over 100* outside. These two lovebirds know how to throw a good party and we were lucky enough to be included.

Caroline works in the industry so we knew the moment we met her that this wedding would be stunning. Her and JR have a dynamic similar to myself and Tyler so getting to work with the two of them felt so natural and was so much fun! By the time we were hired, the majority of planning had already been done. We were able to come in and help tie up some loose ends, help with some of the final design, and handle all of the day-of logistics.

The wedding had a very organic, summertime feel. There were lemon trees placed at the back of the aisle for ceremony; while the reception smelled of fresh citrus the moment you enter Casa Paloma. The color palette was fairly neutral minus a few splashes of dusty blue here and there. Caroline wore the most beautiful custom wedding gown that fit her like a glove and even had POCKETS! JR was dressed to the nines in a blue fitted suit with blush details. Both bride and groom each have a sister so they acted as Maid of Honor and Best WoMan, which allowed for a small, intimate wedding party. Let’s not forget the REAL star of the show though…the couple’s dog, Millie, made an appearance while sporting the cutest floral dog collar.

They had the most energetic and memorable reception. The band killed it. The guests never stopped dancing. There were touches of Greek, and Italian, and so much love. There was a hilarious game of limbo that ensued and the groom even changed into a pair of American flag Chubbies to finish the night. It was a night we will never forget!

C & JR- Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your special day! We are so grateful to know you both and we can’t wait to come visit you in Napa one of these days. Cheers to many more years of a marriage as fun as your wedding day!!! We love you guys.
