Black Tie Garden Wedding Styled Shoot Inspired by The Royal Wedding featured on Arizona Weddings

If you had a heartbeat, a TV, and any sort of interest in weddings - you were captivated by The Royal Wedding last year. The lush greenery, the garden atmosphere, and the grandiosity of the event took our breath away. We’re a world away from Windsor, but we set out to create a royal inspired black tie garden shoot, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Set in Arizona of all places, we basked in the lush backdrop provided by Venue at the Grove, which is anything but the average Arizona landscape. The pecan grove’s majestic branches transport far from the typical Arizona xeriscape. A far cry from the Saguaro cactuses, and red dirt that usually dominates the view, the venue gave us a backdrop fit for a prince, and with help from a tremendous vendor team, a dutchess emerged. Set against the enchanting pecan grove backdrop, the black tie formal attire created exactly the juxtaposition we hoped for. The white tuxedo from Nick’s Menswear, paired with the Mikaella gown from Schaffer’s Bridal helped to highlight the luxurious love that radiated from the couple. The magical tie, and the most important binding agent in the mix, was the beautiful botanicals compliments of The Petal Theory - a combination of white garden roses, white ranunculus, white hydrangea, and viney smilax that bridged formal to ethereal. Glam furniture rentals from Prim Rentals added just the flair this shoot needed to elevate the overall vibe. Their new gold and white chairs, clear acrylic tables, and velvet tufted lounge setup kept this formal affair both trendy and modern. The timeless tabletop transformation was created with elements from both Event Rents and The Confetti Studio. Stacked atop the modern clear tables, the patterned plates were a standout feature for sure.  Adding just a dash of modern and trendy to an otherwise classic palette, Freed Hands took the creativity up a notch. The simple invitation suite was simply stunning, with sharp contrasts of black, white, & gold. The hand lettering and white wax seals added just the right amount of panache. Additionally, acrylic menus stand boldly adjacent to the plates, without compromising the balanced design, stretching down the long family style seating reminiscent of a true King’s table, because, well... you know.  Again, with grace and charm, Couple of Bartenders whipped up drinks that would even cause a royal second take. Delicious style, taste, and appearance - topped with a completely custom Sipmi design perfectly matching the plate design and wax seal monograms. It wouldn’t be a royal inspired, black tie garden wedding without a darling couple, completely dressed to the nines. Nicks Menswear adorned the groom in a classic white tux, with tasteful black accents. Dapper at minimum. The Mikaella gown from Schaffer’s Bridal, was the perfect dress, finding balance on the razor thin line between elegant and sexy, classic and modern. It’s the type of dress that’s so profoundly simple, all you can think is ‘it’s beautiful.’ Sugar Petals Custom Cakes created more than a cake. It was an art piece unlike any other, adorned with hand painted lace detail, perfectly matching the bride’s gown, and accented with beautiful white sugar flowers, each carefully crafted by hand. Every moment, detail, and emotion was captured by the incredible Marisa Belle Photography. Not only a powerful talent behind the lens, but truly one of the sweetest professionals in the business, Marisa makes the light work for her and captures shots otherwise only in our dreams. She both helped make the shoot a success, but also an absolute blast. Every ounce of this event was captured and highlighted in the best possible way.

In the end, we believe in a simple truth. You don’t have to be Harry and Meghan to have a black tie garden wedding, even in the unlikely desert of Arizona. We are so happy Arizona Weddings agreed and was nice enough to feature this shoot.
