It's this guy's birthday. We won't talk about how OLD he is- all you need to know is that he's older than me (& he always will be).

This last year of life has been a crazy one. We had a [another] baby...(well, I actually had the baby, he didn't). We moved to a new state. He started a new job in the new state a week before said baby was born. Nuts- it's the only way to describe it. Absolutely nuts. And through all of this, he's been the rock. He is the superhero of our family. He's the smartest person I know and he works his tail off. He cooks dinner every night and breakfast every weekend. He can build and/or fix anything. He's got pretty legit style and KILLER hair. He provides for us and he always tries to put his family first. Oh, and he puts up with me...no easy task, that's for sure. ;)

It's no secret, I know everyone likes him better than me. The kids like him more than me, our grooms like him wayyyyy more than me (ok, only a little more), and our friends definitely like him more than me. He's just that guy. He's a the best dad, a great friend, a fantastic officiant (ha), and an even better partner. Our relationship isn't perfect. In fact, it's actually really hard and it's a lot of work, but he is always willing to work for it. He's my biggest cheerleader and I know he always will be. He deserves to be celebrated every day, but today, especially. I'll never be able to put into words how incredible I think he is, but hopefully I make him feel it. Happy Birthday to my better half!
