An Emotional Black Tie Wedding in Paradise Valley, Arizona featured on The Black Tie Bride: Brittany & Nick
Every good love story is actually a series of embarrassing stories, strung together that average out to be a sappy love story, right? But not all parts are sappy. Some aren’t even romantic. Some read like the TV show “Drunken History”... Like that one time when Nick first met Brittany. She wasn’t available, but the friend zone wasn’t where Nick wanted to stay… Persistence and thousands of dollars later, they had the wedding of their dreams. The end. Ok, so that’s not 100% true, but nobody really knows the full truth of the day these two met. It was either at the office, in a bar or wait - wasn’t that the same thing at the time? (They did alcohol sales together.) Regardless, Nick was smitten and began the arduous process of breaking Brittany down. Nick has one of the most infectious personalities of any groom we've ever had the pleasure of working with. Brittany is a little more serious, but Nick brings out the best in her...and well, anyone, really. These two were so much fun to plan with and we are now lucky enough to call them friends.
Brittany & Nick were married on a beautiful fall day in Scottsdale, AZ at the Omni Montelucia Resort & Spa. They wanted a classic, timeless wedding with a few modern twists. Brittany's stunning Lazaro dress was really the star of the show. It fit her like a glove and sparkled endlessly. Flowers were a huge priority to Brittany and AZ Petal Pushers really blew us away with their luscious creations. It was an emotional day for all, as Brittany's father passed away a few years ago without ever seeing his daughter walk down the aisle. He was remembered in many forms throughout the day and it's a guarantee he was there in spirit, watching and smiling. There was a special chair reserved for him during the ceremony that included his name and a small bouquet of white flowers. That bouquet was then used during "Brittany's dance" during the reception. She first danced with her uncle while he held the bouquet close as a symbol of her father dancing with them. Halfway through the song, Nick's father joined them on the dance floor, the bouquet was handed off to him, and he and Brittany finished the dance. Needless to say, there wasn't a dry eye in that ballroom… all of it captured perfectly by Marisa Belle Photography and Serendipity Cinematography.
B&N- Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful wedding. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness and LOTS of snuggles with that cute little boys of yours. XOXO
