Edgy Phoenix Lifestyle Engagement Session: Kati & Aaron
Kati & Aaron are getting married next week up in the cooler Payson climate at Tonto Creek Camp...and we can hardly wait for their big day! Kati and her mom attended the I Do! Wedding Charity Auction last February at Soho63 and were the highest bidders on the wedding package we had donated to the event. When we found out they were going to get married up north (i.e.- out of the desert), we couldn't wait to see all of their details come together among all of the green pine trees.
We love these edgy and simple engagement photos of our beautiful couple (including their little boy, Oliver) taken by Emily Piraino Photography. These photos represent this family so well...and how stinkin' cute is Oliver? Kati was nice enough to write out the couples engagement story for us...so enjoy below!
"Aaron and I went up to Prescott for a weekend just the two of us. We were both a little nervous about leaving Oliver for the whole weekend but also really excited to just hang out and relax and sleep through two entire nights. We went up Friday morning and just hung out, enjoyed the weather, watched a ridiculous amount of Gilmore Girls and went out to dinner. The next morning we went out to breakfast and came back to the cabin we were staying at to just sit on the porch and enjoy the gorgeous view of the forest that was the backyard. When we got back from breakfast, he picked up his guitar and started singing A Question by the Old 97s which I had told him years ago I wanted playing whenever the time came that someone proposed to me. It was very sweet but I wasn't really sure what was going on because after he got done he just put the guitar down and walked outside. He asked if I wanted to go look for some deer that we had seen in the shadows the night before so I agreed and we walked off the porch and started to walk towards the forest. After a few steps I realized he wasn't with me and turned around to see him on one knee. Then he said a bunch of stuff I don't remember because it was all very exciting and emotional. We spent the rest of the weekend just enjoying each other and calling friends and family about our happy news."
