Fashion Forward Bride and Groom + All the Dopest Custom Details You Could Ever Imagine: Geyse & Adam
Where do I even begin with this wedding?…
This wedding changed us. It changed our business. It changed our thoughts on how we approach weddings and our future clients.
Geyse (Jay-Z) and Adam came to us asking for a non-traditional, modern art gallery inspired wedding that didn’t “feel like a wedding.” They wanted to host a one-of-a-kind destination event in Arizona, as most of their guests (and themselves) would be coming from Ohio. They already had their venue selected when they hired us. They picked the iconic Mountain Shadows Resort in Paradise Valley and they couldn’t have made a better choice. This venue has all the right stuff; spectacular architecture, phenomenal views, the tastiest food, and service above all the rest. We worked with them for months to really understand their needs, wants, and desires. They trusted us with every bone in their body and gave us complete creative freedom to do our thang. The results were better than we ever could have imagined.
This event was perfectly branded and completely custom. No detail was left untouched. To say we had the most incredible team of vendors on this wedding would be an understatement. I think we all came together during a time when we needed community the most.
G & A’s wedding planning started pre-pandemic. They knew they wanted a small, intimate celebration so we started planning the event with an original guest count around 60 people. As the pandemic numbers grew and our planning continued, Geyse and Adam had made it very clear that this wedding was moving forward, regardless of how many people were there, as long as they could still safely hold the event within state mandates and guidelines. They ended up having 37 guests at their September celebration and let me tell you, THAT NUMBER WAS PERFECT! We have never experienced anything like this party. Everyone knew each other. Majority of the guests wore white. And EVERYONE came to party. After months of stay-at-home orders, it felt incredible to see the happiness, joy, and endless amounts of love filling one room.
We knew this wedding was going to push us to think outside of the box. Inspiration photos on Pinterest didn’t exist, as this would break the mold. Geyse had very specific likes and dislikes, and Adam chimed in when he felt necessary. We had to put our ideas into words without any visuals to back them up and hope that our hand-selected team of vendors could translate and execute. I mean, they were chosen for a reason after all. ;)
There is so much more we could say about this wedding, but I think it’s best if we let the photos do the talking for us. Lea Bremicker is an editorial photography goddess and it REALLY shows in every single image. This blog post is much longer than any blog post should be but it was nearly impossible to narrow down the photos to share “the best ones” with all of you. Every photo is absolutely show-stopping and takes us back to exactly how we felt on this day.

Also, thank you for being such an ugly couple- it’s really such a shame. We love you both more than you will ever know. XO
